"to the east of Eden: There his father was exiled when he was driven out of the Garden of Eden, as it is said (3:24) 'and He stationed at the east of the Garden of Eden, etc., to guard' the way of approach to the Garden, from which we can learn that Adam was there. And we find that the easterly direction always offers asylum for murderers, as it is said (Deut. 4:41): 'Then Moses separated, etc. [three cities of refuge] in the direction of the sunrise' - [Mid. Devarim Rabbah, Lieberman, p.60; Tan. Buber ad loc.]. Another explanation: בְּאֶרֶץ נוֹד means that wherever he went, the earth would quake beneath him, and the people would say, 'Go away from him; this is the one who killed his brother' [Mid. Tan., Bereishith 9]." ~ Rashi

The Zohar (Shemot 7b) says: "At that time (the time of the Geula), the King Mashiah will be awakened to exit the Garden of Eden from the place that is called Kan Tzippor [the Bird's Nest]".

Kedem Standard Time Travel

The paradox in time travel is there in Edenic: Traveling east is going backwards in time. On the other hand, even traveling east is taking up time and space (speaking of).
So you are BOTH moving ahead, and going backwards (speaking of moving backward and forward, introducing my favorite Irish-Filipino, besides my cousin's kids).
To lead is “to head,” as the head leads the body (or ought to). קדם QeDeM, besides earlier and eastern (Genesis 25:6), means front or forward (Psalms 139:5). קדם QaDahM is to go forward or HEAD FOR something. קדם QeeDaiM is to HEAD OFF or precede. קדימה QaDeeYMaH is AHEAD; קדמה QeeDMaH is progress or HEADWAY. Ethiopic qadama means he preceded (or headed for).

Paradoxically, for a word that can mean forward progress, קדם QeDeM is the past, ancient or previous times (Deuteronomy 33:15). The "eastern" meaning is key to understanding the paradox, since when we head east, we both progress and go back in time.

קדם QaDeM in Edenic would mean a place of advancement, progress. Too many Humanities ACADEMICS, seem more interested in getting tenure in the previous generation’s theories.
