A. Leib Scheinbaum: In the front, to the east, under the degel of Yehudah, were the tribes of Yehudah, Yissachar and Zevullun. Yaakov Avinu visualized Yehudah as the most prominent tribe, symbolized by his shevet, scepter, and mechokek, leadership in Torah law. Yissachar was the tribe devoted to agriculture, who consequently had leisure time for study. Zevullun was devoted to commerce, but also seems to be a leader in cultivating literature. Hence, in the leading tribes, the areas in which the material and spiritual welfare of the nation were to depend, were united. The scepter and the law, agriculture and science, commerce and literature.

Dylann Storm Roof: I have great respent for the East Asian races. Even if we were to go extinct they could carry something on. They are by nature very racist and could be great allies of the White race. I am not opposed at all to allies with the Northeast Asian races.

Meidad: A nickname for one of two people (either one of the sons of Elitzafan ben Parnach Prince of Zevulan for whom the Land for his tribe was apportioned by Yehoshua bin Nun or Qemuel ben Shiftan, Prince of Ephraim also at the time of Yehoshua’s apportionment. Ismar Schorsch: Leah bore Issachar before Zebulun (Genesis 30:16–20). What prompted Jacob to speak of Zebulun first? The tribe of Issachar would one day be sedentary, devoting itself wholly to the study of Torah. From its midst would spring the teachers, scholars and judges who would imbue society with the spirit of Torah. Hence, Jacob lavishes praise on Issachar. In contrast, Zebulun is depicted as mercantile and mobile, a rank of a lower order in a culture of learning. And yet, Jacob speaks of them first because their wealth is earmarked to support the studies of Issachar. The merchants of Zebulun are the silent partners, the great enablers that ensure the transmission of Judaism.
