Paul Shan Kuo~hsi: All the Synod Fathers agreed that there must be a new way of presenting Jesus Christ to the peoples of Asia.proposition 7: Encouragement is to be given by this Synod to theologians to pursue their work of developing an inculturated theology that responds to Asian realities. This theologising is to be carried out with courage, in faithfulness to the Scriptures and to the Church’s tradition, and in sincere adherence to the Magisterium and with an awareness of pastoral realities.
Jacques Dupuis: Much has been heard during the Synod for Asian Bishops recently held in Rome about the pressing need for the Asian Churches to present themselves "with an Asian face".
