越南高考拉开帷幕(高清组图)

"students should not make other men stand guard over them as they study." ~ Rabbi Yaakov Ariel

"We will be a partner which will fight for Torah study in Israel, and we will fight against laws that coerce service. Whoever is learning Torah should continue to learn Torah, full stop. This is my stance from the beginning. Although it’s not always easy to explain this to our secular brothers, my way is to explain that the Jewish people have existed for thousands of years in exile because of Torah, and in the State of Israel we need to strengthen this. I will support someone who is able to get up early in the morning to learn and sanctify their lives; there is nothing harder than this. Someone who does not, I expect him to join Israeli society." ~ Naftali Bennett

"'someone who is not studying' should perform national service." ~ MK Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan

"The Arrival of the Bnei Menashe"

"We are so proud of all the lost and hidden Jews who have returned to their people, and to Israel, to be a part of creating history for the Jewish people in our homeland! Here is Shalem Gin, a Bnei Menashe from India, now an officer in the Israeli army. We are proud of him and all of our Israeli soldiers." ~ Michael

Months of Menashe and Efrayim

‎"Tishrei corresponds to the Tribe of Ephraim, and Cheshvan corresponds to the Tribe of Menashe. Being that Ephraim and Menashe are the two sons of Joseph, it seems that there has to be some special connection between these two corresponding months. Today - 30 Tishrei - is the exact middle day between the first 29 days of Tishrei and the month of Cheshvan of this year. Hence, at least symbolic, ally, this is the one day in the Jewish calendar that Joseph's sons are closest together as brothers. Accordingly, as explained in Bnei Yissaschar, the future dedication of the third and everlasting Temple will take place during Cheshvan." ~ shimonmatisyahu

"...In modern times, this month has become known as Cheshvan or Mar Cheshvan, which seems to have originated at the time that Jews came back to Israel after the Babylonian Exile. The prefix Mar (which means bitter) is a reference to this month having no festivals or rejoicing, but much suffering for Jews throughout the ages. Also during this month, God brought down the Flood and drowned the world (except for Noach and those with him on the ark.) Mar also means drop and refers to the first rains (the Yoreh), which fall in Cheshvan." ~ Devorah

Menashe, Gad and Reuven

"Before the Tribes of Israel would cross the River Jordan and enter the Promised Land, the first among them had already taken possession of territory east of the River Jordan. These were the half tribes of Manasseh, Gad and Reuben who liberated the Bashan and Gilead from the Amorites." ~ Victor Sharpe

‎"We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle and cities for our little ones. But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land. We will not return unto our houses until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance." ~ Gad and Reuven
