Kenichi Hartman: Grew up biracial (white/Asian) and tricultural (American/Japanese/Jewish), mostly in Tokyo and Palo Alto. Spent too much time in Bnei Akiva in high school and in a Jerusalem yeshiva (Shapell’s) post-college, caught the aliyah bug, and made the jump in October 2011 along with his loving wife and two adorable daughters.
