They have a tiger-like striping pattern that is nearly transparent and a lion-like tawny background. In addition, they may inherit rosettes from the lion. These adornments may be black, dark brown, or sandy. The background color may be correspondingly tawny, sandy, or golden.
White tigresses have mated with lions to produce 'white' (actually pale) cubs. In theory, white tigresses may mate with white lions to produce white, very pale, or even stripeless cubs. It is not impossible for a Hybrid to be white, but it is very rare.
