"Co-Founder of Apple, Jobs was born in San Francisco and was adopted by the Armenian family of Paul (Shaul) and Clara Jobs of Mountain View, California (one of several social network epicenters). Jobs' biological parents ~ Abdulfattah John Jandali, formerly a Syrian Muslim, who immigrated to the U.S from Homs (current epicenter of an embattled Revolution) and Joanne Schieble (later Simpson), a German-Swiss Roman Catholic. Jandali and Schieble gave up Jobs for adoption when he was born out of wedlock, but later married ~ in a church. Jobs dropped out of Oregon's Reed College after one semester, although he returned to audit a class in calligraphy, which he says influenced Apple's graceful, minimalist aesthetic. He quit one of his first jobs, designing video games for Atari, to backpack across India and take psychedelic drugs. Those experiences, Jobs said later, shaped his creative vision. Jobs also authored the tongue and cheek, 'The Second Coming of Steve Jobs.' Jobs was a Buddhist Dad and Fan of Bob Dylan."
My novice understanding of when someone of notoriety passes is that whatever they embodied ~ their embedded dreams, visions, challenges they purposely confronted, the obstacles they worked to dismantle ~ is inherited by the generation that they left their legacy of fruit behind with, apart from an official will, of course. It's like their spirit awakens the next existential level of Risk for the planet and is compounded by their physical absence or absinthe. i think.
